Building a Pan-Canadian Autism Data Collaborative:
Numbers Speak Louder than Words

Overview

CASDA and The Azrieli Foundation are working with the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue at Simon Fraser University to facilitate an exciting and dynamic dialogue session to generate ideas that would help advance on understanding and improving our data assets to support the development, implementation and evaluation of a National Autism Strategy.

We hope after this first meeting that you will be interested in becoming part of an ongoing community working to improve the current system and ultimately increase the health and well being of Autistic people living in Canada, and their families. CASDA is committed to bringing together community organizations, individuals with lived experience, families and caregivers, clinicians, researchers, data science experts and scientists, service providers, policymakers, trainees, and advocates to participate in this collaborative. With your input, we aim to generate collective solutions to complex issues.

CASDA will support this collaborative by:

  • Facilitating national level collaborations that will inform a National Autism Strategy
  • Ensuring the community voice is at the forefront, and
  • Sharing initiatives aligned with the priorities of Autistic people, their families, and those that support them, with the goal of advancing a National Autism Strategy.
